SPRING FORWARD?

Did you know that Daylight Saving Time begins this weekend? Do you know what that means? I remember always getting confused about that. I knew that we changed the clock an hour, but could never remember when we put it ahead or when we moved it back. Then someone helped me by saying we "Spring Forward" in the Spring, and "Fall Back" in the Fall. Pretty cool, huh! (I hope you understand what that means...) Anyhow, check out this neat sight to learn more- IT'S TIME, then come back and tell me if you think we SHOULD change the clocks or not and why. Be sure to read about the controversy to help support your point of view!

  2. Sure, Daysha. Spring Forward means we move the clocks ahead one hour in the Spring. And Fall Back means we move the clocks back one hour in the Fall. Pretty cool, huh! Did you read about Daylight Saving Time on the link in my post?

  5. I'm talking about changing the clocks. Go back and read my post above and the original one with the picture of the cat clock.

You'll do the best you can on the test, Ariel. Let's talk about writing at school. Have a good dinner and a good night! : )

  8. Ms.Becker I think it's cool that we move our clocks one hour ahead and one hour behind. At first I didn't get it and I didn't even remember it until I read your new blog. Plus when you say "we spring foward in the spring and fall back in the fall" it really help you to understand it better

  9. Tatyana, I always got it confused, too! I can't remember WHO told me that little mnemonic device, but ever since, I always remember.

Did you read about the controversy about Daylight Saving Time? Did you know that a few states don't follow it? It's all very interesting.
