I'm so thrilled that Jahnya keeps writing to me. So this post is dedicated to her! She's an amazing kid who comes faithfully to my mediation group. She's already calm and peaceful, so having her there makes ME even more calm and peaceful! I'm so glad we're getting to know each other this year. I look forward to getting to know her better next year, too. (I've known her brother for at least 2 years. He really cracks me up. He'll be leaving this year and I'll miss him!)
Anyhow, remember how some of the guided meditations tell you to go to a beautiful spot? I keep promising to show you a picture of where my mind goes sometimes... and here it is! Do you like it? It's amidst the bamboo at Green Gulch Farms. Tell me what you think.

Hi Ms. Becker! I can spell your name by heart! I will always remember you when I leave Rowen. I will miss Ms. Cooper too. I'm surpised that I'm going to a middle school next year and I'm in 4th grade now. Wow I must be smart because the school I'm going to the kids are very smart. Blake and Kariana should go there too. It might be fun. Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow. Ms. Becker remember I'll still write to you even when I go to my new school. You're a good teacher- so is Ms.Cooper- and you're good with computers. Oh and again see you and Ms. Cooper tomorrow.

Hey Ms.Becker! It's Aishah.Today I saw some of the graduates crying because they are leaving this school and taking a step forward. That made me a little sad because next year it will be my turn. So I want time to go very,very slow, and when my turn comes I will be in a lot of tears. Wish me luck.
Hi Aishah! I just LOVED your comment! You are right-on! Yes, I was crying, too, today. I bet I cry next year when you graduate as well. The idea IS to take it slowly, relax and appreciate life. There's an expression that goes, "take time to stop and smell the roses." Let's help each other do that, OK?

Your new school WON'T be "too hard" because you can do ANYTHING you set your mind to. And ROWEN is NOT an easy school, so there!
